For the decor, you'll need a rugged wild west desert style look. Large cut out cactuses by the wall. Maybe some cactus figurines on display. An oasis with palm trees for the cowboys to hangout. Wigwams for the red indian camp. Those can be made with huge quilts or old bedsheets or even old curtains, draped over a table they could crawl under. You'll need toy guns and cowboy hats for the little cowboys, feathers and headbands, bows and arrows for the red indians. To set the mood, play an old western or cowboy movie on your DVD or video player.

Once everything is in place, write on little pieces of paper, cowboy, or indian, fold up the paper and put them in a cowboy hat. If a guest picks COWBOY, he or she gets to be a cowboy and gets the cowboy party pack. (the hat and toy gun). If he or she gets RED INDIAN, he or she gets to be a red indian and gets the red indian party pack. Divide the guests into 2 groups and let the games begin.
Suitable games
- Treasure hunt. - Hide a box filled with treats in the compound and leave each group clues as to where it is. The group that finds the box first wins the game, and gets to split up that box of treats among themselves
- Cowboys and indians - Just let them run wild and improvise their game. Make sure no one gets hurt though.
- Telematch - team races, like the 3 legged race, running while balancing egg on the spoon. See which team can fill a pail with water first, with their plastic cups, tug of war, the works.
