13th birthday party ideas
It your kid's (now teen) 13th birthday. The first day as a *shudder* teenager. You are throwing a birthday party and it has to be super cool. What's in now? What do teenagers want? More importantly, what does your kid like? It helps if you can get an older teenager who is close to your kid to help you with this, though, but here goes!
Which celebrity is you kid crazy over? Would he or she mind if the whole world knows too? Or would he or she be totally embarassed because that celebrity is considered so uncool? Hmmm. Tough one. If you could arrange for that celebrity to show up at the party, I'd bet your kid would be thrilled.
Make this a teenager's party. Play MTV or music videos on the TV to set the mood. If you can, get a DJ into the act as well. Lots of dancing, no drugs allowed though (Keep close tabs on that). Watch out for that though.
For girls, a manicure/pedicure session would be fun! Get a manicurist, or someone who loves doing manicures to do the nail designs for the girls.
